Was dead good HCM, had a belter of a time! I loved the markets got some cracking stuff!

Ho Chi Minh City was really good. The Reunification Palace was a personal highlight. War remnants museum was very moving but important to visit. I stayed in and loved the Long Hostel - made some great friends and we went on a night out!

HCM was by far my favourite place in Vietnam! As a keen historian and someone fascinated by Vietnamese history! I was deeply interested in the historical sites. I stayed at The Hideout which was a great place to meet people!

I loved Ho Chi Minh City, pretty crazy place and the traffic is very busy but was very interesting. Doing the chu chi tunnels was a cool experience!

I was a bit disappointed with the Gold Coast - a bit overrated in my opinion. The bad weather would not have helped. I recommend staying at Surf Inn

Cairns was awesome, I lived there for about three months when I first got to Australia. It is a great place if you are on a working holiday visa. Bounce is by far the best, it is a lot more laid back than Giligans. Make sure to visit all of the Islands and to dive/snorkel the Great Barrier Reef

Byron Bay was iconic, I spent about 4 days there. I would definitely try surfing if you get the chance. Wake Up is by far the best hostel

Brisbane was cool, but you only need a couple days there maximum! I recommend going to Australia Zoo if you can and Fortitude Valley is great for a night out. We stayed in Summer House which was really nice

Arena hostel was by far the best place to stay, especially if you like football! Make sure you get on the 4G pitch! Full moon was cool but I think the jungle experience the night before was much better!

Class time in Chaing Mai, we actually got there by slow boat from Luang Prabang in Laos. Make sure to check out all of the temples they are incredible!

The Ha Giang loop was an incredible experience, some of the best scenery I have ever scene and my group was class. If you do not have much experience I would make sure to get an easy rider. I paid the price and ended up in hospital!

I had a class time in Pai. Tipsy tubing was a personal highlight. Happy hostel was by far the best one

I loved Koh Tao it was sick

Hanoi was my first stop in Asia. Was a great place once you got a feel for it. I’d make sure to check out the war and prison museums

One of my favourite backpacking destinations in thailand, really safe and sociable community. Charnchai Gym is a great place to train Muay Thai for beginners and experienced fighters. Other highlights: tipsy tubing, two huts, pai canyon

One of my biggest regrets was not doing the PADI qualification course. If you are not a keen diver just do a snorelling tour instead. Was awesome seeing turtles. I stayed at taco shak, but I head that revolutions was the best place to stay - was sold out when I was there so make sure you book early

Krabi was a fantastic couple days, I recommend staying at the nomads there - great staff and very modern. Do the four islands tour, you get to see the very best in one go!

I loved Bangkok, gutted I was only able to stay for such a short amount of time. I stayed at Bed station which was great. A tour of the grand palace is essential and make sure not to miss a night out on Khao san road

I had a great couple days in Phuket, but i wouldn’t say you need more time than that! Lub d is by far the best hostel, great chance to meet people and the pub crawl is a must. The bay tour is one you do not want to miss!

Khao Sok was an incredible experience. A two day experience is recommended, you get to see way more!

An amazing part of the world with an abundance of historical venues to visit. Great food, people and weather!

Lisbon is a fantastic city. I recommend Time Out market for food, especially the seafood. I also recommend a trip to the castle. The nightlife on Pink Street is good fun.

A really fun city with plenty to do. The City itself lies on a web of canals, which make it a very scenic city. Fun activities include the Heinekon Factory and the Ice Bar. We stayed at the Bulldog which was reasonable in price and in the perfect location.

Colgne is a fantastic getaway for couples, probably best for a few days. The best time to go is for the Christmas markets, when there are multiple markets across the city. The city itself is fairly small, so any more than a few days would not be necissary.

Vienna has a really nice feel to it as a City. The City centre is nice mix of modern buildings with the old historic palace and gardens.

I love the Chania old town, there are plenty of places along the front for food / drinks in the sun. Rethymo is also another fantastic location, characterised by narrow medieval streets and an old fort.

Queenstown is stunning. Such an amazing place with so much scenery. It's a great stop as you head down the south island. It is very expensive so be prepared!!!

Wellington is a great place to end your travels in the North Island. If you manage to squeeze a trip in to Mount Taranaki on the journey it is well worth the trip! We went to a Wellington Phoenix (football) match and bought lots of Paladin Sports Merchandise - it was overall a great day in Wellingto

Really cool place. It's a backpacker hub full of cool people heading all around the north island. The Mount Tauhara walk is amazing. We also went to down to Tongariro national park and stayed off Mt Ruepehu which is stunning. a great route heading down to Wellington

Roturura is class if you don't mind the sulphur smell. Really great stop over as you go down the south island. You have to see the Papakura Geyser - remember to pre-book! Also lots of general activities in and around town like the luge and Maori experiences.

Loved Auckland, it's a great base if you are looking to explore the North Island. We did day trips to Piha Beach (amazing), and trips to waiheke island and rangitoto. Very useful transport links down to Roturura or Lake Taupo! We stayed at the Haka Hostel and it was great.

This place was class

Hoi An was class. I recommend staying at the Mad Monkey there it is very modern and popular! Make sure to check out the coconut boats as well!

Koh Phi Phi was by far my favourite spot in the whole of Thailand. I actually stayed in private rooms most the time because they were so cheap. Kayaking and the island tours are a must. Reggae bar is also a great night out!

As a football fan, the FIFA museum was incredible - defo worth a visit. Boat tour of the lake is a great experience as well.

One of the best surfing spots I have ever been to. Main Point is class. If you need lessons there are plenty of choices!

Barcelona was class. Las Ramblas had loads of good restaurant choices and it was pretty awesome seeing the Sagrada Familia in person. I stayed at St Christophers which was class, met a really good group and we had a great night out at Razzmatazz

The Marina Bay and the gardens by the bay are a must!

Lisbon is a great city for a couple days, I just got the train down with my eurail pass from Porto. I stayed at Yes! which was great. The castle visit is a must!

The Greg and Tom Hostel was great. I recommend the Auschwitz Tour it was incredibly moving

One of the most incredible places I have been to. Island hopping tours are an essentail. I did Tour A but having spoke to a number of other backpackers they are all as good!

As a rugby fan the All Blacks Experience was fantastic. I would recommend to anyone who is a fan of the sport.

Stay at St Christophers. Anne Franks House and the Van Gogh museum are worth a visit

The tour of the mossy forest is a must. I recommend you stay at the Traveller Bunker Hostel

Vang Vieng was the pinnacle of Laos! Kayaking and a lagoon tour are a must!

Rome was remarkable. The tour of the colosseum was astonishing. In all honesty, I would tour all of the iconic landmarks again.

Dublin is a class weekend. The Guinness Storehouse was a personal favourite. I recommend staying at Jacobs Inn.

Gili T was my favourite destination in the whole of Asia! Make sure to stay at My Mates Place and a snorkelling tour is a must!

I loved Budapest. The best thing to do is to just walk around all day and see the top spots. I would see the Buda Castle as well if you get a chance.

Athens was mind blowing The energy of the place was tantalising. I recommend exploring all of the iconic landmarks listed above!

Berlin was brilliant and this guide was so useful. I recommend staying at St Christopher's Berlin Alexanderplatz. Make sure to check out the Brandenburg Gate and tour the Reichstag

Paris was fantastic, highly recommend taking the tour to the top of the Eiffel Tower!

Lyon was fantastic, probably my favourite French city! The Roman Ruins were a personal favourite!

Prague was class

Great time in Prague. Recommend a trip to Prague Castle and the Pub Crawl.

Prague was class I had an incredible time. Stay at Czech Inn Hostel and make sure you have a Eurail pass. It makes travelling across Europe so much easier

Vienna was amazing. Make sure to stay at the Wombats Hostel and visit the Schönbrunn Palace

Fraser Island was the absolute highlight of my East Coast Road Trip! I recommend doing the two nights tour. Firstly, it gives you more time to see the best of the island as well as plenty of opportunities to drive yourself!

Salzburg was amazing

Phnom Penh was class! Make sure to stay at Mad Monkey!

Airlie beach was great! Stay at Nomads and do the Sky Dive over the Whitsundays!

Lovely time in Koh Rong, Nestival was a great day out!

Koh Rong Samloem is amazing, make sure to stay at Onderz it is by far the best. The boat from Sihanoukville was fine. Make sure to check out one of the snorkelling tours.

I had a great time in Kampot. Make sure to stay at Onederz hostel and to take the Kayak tour down the Kampot River!

I had an absolutley fantastic time in Battambang. The bamboo train was a personal favourite i must say. We stayed in The Palace Hostel which was great, and the staff werve very welcoming. The bamboo train tours linked above are great and the tour guide was fantastic. Getting there was easy as well!
